Youth Xplosion at AHS: Youth Xplosion 2006 is coming to the Abingdon High School Auditorium. First event will be Friday, December 1, @ 7:00 p.m. The second event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2. Host for this two day event is the Abingdon Council of Churches.
This high evergy event is for student of high school and junior high ages. Feautred speaker will be Joshua SUllivan with a mission of reaching today's generation in making the right choices in life. The Youth Xplosion Band will perform each day of this fun and fellowship filled event.

Abingdon Junior Women's Club "Santa's Secret Shop": Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 9:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hedding Grade School. Christmas shopping for children K-5, crafters for shoppers of all ages. Annual luncheon and cookie plate fund raiser for the Abingdon Junior Woman's Club, and . . . . a special appearance from Santa!
Care Center Annual BAzaar & Bake Sale: Will host their annual bazaar and bake sale Saturday, December 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Care Center, 801 W. Martin St.The event will feature crafts, decorations and baked goods with proceeds going to the resident' Christmas Party.
Karaoke with Marty Smith @ Hickey's Pool Hall: Saturday, December 2 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Must be 21 years old to attend.
Annual Old Fashion Christmas Celebration: Will be held on
Monday, December 11, 2006 starting with a parade at 6:00 p.m. Parade will begin at the Congregational
Church, travel south on Main Street, turn right onto South Street, turn right again onto
Washington Street and return to the church. Festivities will take place in the business section of Main
Street. Come join the excitement and fun of carriage rides, performances in the gazebo, a live
Nativity scene and performers from Debie's Baton and Dance Studio. The Abingdon Historical Museum
and John Mosser Public Library will be open as well as several other businesses.
